In addition to sports channels, the YouTube TV subscription includes several news and entertainment channels, making it a great streaming platform. And if that’s not enough, you can opt for additional add-on channels that cost extra. You can subscribe to NBA League Pass, Fox Soccer Plus, NFL RedZone and other sports and entertainment channels.

FuboTV is one of the best sports streaming sites as it covers most of the sports events. If you want to subscribe to one service specifically for sports, FuboTV has you covered. Prices start at $64.99 per month and go up to $79.99, but the price is worth it for sports fans. It covers a significant number of local, national and international events and leagues. Unfortunately, most streams are limited to a 720p frame rate, which may be a problem for some, given that other streaming services offer at least 1080p.

Despite this, FuboTV offers the most diverse range of sports channels. You’ll find local games on popular TV channels like CBS, Fox, NBC and ABC, as well as national events on NBA TV, FS1, NBC Sports Network, The Golf Channel and NFL Network. You can also watch live broadcasts on international channels like TUDN and GOL TV. So, whether you’re interested in basketball or horse racing, fuboTV is a great choice for national and international sports fans.

For only $6.99. USD per month or USD 70. USA a year you get many sports broadcasts to choose from. ESPN+ is one of the best sports streaming sites out there if you’re particularly interested in contact sports like MMA and boxing. It’s also probably the best option if you follow college sports, including baseball, football, basketball, and many others. Unfortunately, it is somewhat lacking in national and international sports compared to other streaming sites on our list.

It’s important to note that ESPN+ does not include the core ESPN library. Its own platform that covers a wide range of sports and a variety of ESPN+ products. However, ESPN+ recently entered into a deal with the NHL to acquire exclusive rights to broadcast non-market NHL games. Starting in 2023, the platform will also get NFL coverage, which it doesn’t currently have.

Note that ESPN+ does not offer DVR cloud storage options. This is a huge downside for the streaming service. However, this is not surprising if you look at the monthly subscription price tag.

features

  • Full HD streaming at 60 frames per second.
  • Supports up to 3 streams simultaneously.
  • Offline content can be downloaded to the mobile application.

If you’re already familiar with CBS All Access, you’ll know what to expect from Paramount+, its successor. Paramount+ has one of the most diverse lineups of sports programming you can get for a low $9.99 subscription fee. This is probably the best budget deal you can get.

Paramount+ streams live football, basketball, golf, soccer and more. Watch local NFL games, the NCAA Basketball Championship, the UEFA Champions League and the Europa League, plus access to CBS Sports HQ as part of your subscription.

What’s great about Paramount+ is that you can stream certain programs in 4K or download them for offline viewing. The only downside is that you can’t avoid the ads that appear during live events. Overall, Paramount+ is a budget-friendly way to watch live sports alongside your favorite shows.

features

  • Full HD streaming at 60 frames per second.
  • Some events and shows are available in 4K with HDR and Dolby Vision support.
  • Supports up to 3 simultaneous streams.

Peacock TV is one of the few free sports streaming sites worth checking out. This streaming platform is owned by NBCUniversal, which is also owned by Comcast. It offers a free plan that gives you access to select live sports and many NBC shows. You also get Full HD streaming, which is almost unheard of when it comes to free streaming. While the free tier is ad-supported and offers a limited library, it offers significant value. However, you’ll want to upgrade to the premium tier to get more sports programming.

To unlock the full potential of Peacock TV, you should opt for the Premium plan. Starting at $4.99 per month, this opens up a lot of live sports. Peacock has bought the rights for the 2021-22 Premier League season and it covers the Super Bowl, IndyCar, skiing, wrestling and supercross. There’s also a $9.99 Premium Plus tier if you want to unlock the entire library without ads (almost). Selected events still have ads.

The main drawback of Peacock TV is that it does not support offline downloads.

features

  • Full HD streaming for all levels
  • Supports 3 simultaneous streams
  • Supports multiple customizable user profiles

Sling TV is a cable replacement service that offers a wide variety of programming options. It offers two different packages, orange and blue, which can be combined. There are also add-ons you can subscribe to for more variety.

The Orange plan costs $35 a month, but it only offers ESPN sports. You’ll have to pay $50 for both packages if you also want full NFL coverage, and another $10 for the Sports Extra plan for MLB Network, NBA TV, Golf Channel and NHL Network. Unfortunately, there is a lack of regional and local sports channels.

Sling TV may seem expensive for sports fans at first, but if you combine all three plans to unlock all the sports programming you need, the price will be close to what YouTube TV offers. The downside is that 4K live streams are not available.

features

  • Full HD broadcast.
  • Up to 3 simultaneous streams for Sling Blue. Orange is limited to 1 device.
  • DVR cloud storage up to 50 hours. You can extend it to 200 hours for $5. Content is stored indefinitely.

Formerly AT&T TV, DirectTV is a viable sports streaming site, albeit with some limitations. Subscriptions start at $69.99 per month and include major broadcast channels, but regional sports networks are not included. To access the RSN, you need to pay for the $84.99 plan.

Another downside is that DirectTV doesn’t offer the NFL Network, so keep that in mind before signing up. This sports streaming site is best for local and regional sports fans.

However, DirectTV allows 20 simultaneous streams, which is unheard of on other sports streaming sites. Plus, you get 3 simultaneous streams outside of your home network. So, if you have a lot of people to share your account with, the subscription cost is worth it.

features

  • Broadcast in Full HD, but no 4K.
  • Up to 20 simultaneous streams at home and up to 3 streams outside the home network.
  • DVR cloud storage up to 20 hours. Can be expanded to unlimited storage for a fee. Data retention is limited to 90 days.

If all you care about is the NFL, you should sign up for the NFL Game Pass plan. Until July 2022, you can even opt for a free plan that gives you access to NFL Network Live. But that’s not the real reason why we recommend this sports streaming site to soccer fans.

NFL Game Pass is the only streaming service that gives you full access to replays of every single NFL game in the country, no matter where you live. In addition, there are no regional restrictions on broadcasting.

If you’re not big on replays, you can also follow the Super Bowl 2022 live and get access to NFL RedZone. Plus, you can watch 5-minute game highlights and previews.

The only major downside to NFL Game Pass is the price of a premium subscription. To unlock all the NFL games you want, you must purchase the $205.99 annual subscription plan. Fortunately, you can pay it in four installments.

features

  • Full HD streams up to 1080p at 60fps.
  • Unlimited simultaneous streams.
  • Downloading content for mobile devices.

What about free sports streaming sites?

The only free sports streaming sites worth your time are the ones that are bundled with a specific streaming service package. For example, Fox Sports is a free service, but it’s only available as part of other networks.

Another option is to take advantage of the 30-day trial period, which guarantees a refund. Most of the free non-network streaming platforms operate illegally. They’re usually safe to watch, but we don’t recommend them because the streaming services are usually pretty bad. Poor quality streams, you may be dealing with buffering and the site will shut down at some point.

Our advice is to stick to legitimate sports streaming sites like the ones listed in this article. Which streaming provider do you prefer? Have you found an alternative that offers better features or a better deal? Let us know in the comments below!
